This was also done advanced drawing for animation / advanced animation drawing -- to create a King concept and a Princess concept. My inspiration for the king came from Lord of the Rings; I'd say from the Ent creatures in that 'verse. But I wanted him to be more of a pro-active guardian of his forest instead of waiting-'till-things-got-bad-and-fellow-ents/beings-were-slaughtered-en-masse.The princess character-- I wanted to be more of a warrior princess thing, because 'mainstream' and 'popular' princess paradigms were 'delicate,' 'dependent,' and required the assistance of the Hero characters. The only 'princesses' that I can remember were actually armor-wearing fighters who could take on men and enemies three times their size were Mulan and Xena. Lol.
