This was done for Outsider art-- we had to an artist featured in the chapter and try to emulate their style. I chose Madge Gill, who often used skewed perspective planes, checkered planes, geometric shapes and female figures in her work. Her work also often used a couple of colors or were monochromatic entirely. Madge Gill also often worked by dim candlelight at night, with ink pens or pencils.
My interpretation is done entirely with prismacolor markers and sharpies on 14 '' x 17 '' drawing pad. I tried to use the 'chaotic' and yet patterned strokes Gill used to fill in sections of her work, as well as only a couple of colors. I also worked in dim lighting at night.
